Gold bangles are bought in pairs and sets and worn for years — plain, in meenakari, in kundan, and stacked beside a kada or the ponchi. Every bangle is made to a size; the finder below works yours out.

How many grams is one gold bangle?
Worked out for a solid plain 22K bangle in size 2.4 (57 mm across), from gold's density — 22K about 17.8 g per cubic cm, 18K about 15.4. Thickness counts as much as width.
3 mm × 1.2 mm
Fine
About 12 g. The slim bangle worn in a stack.
5 mm × 1.5 mm
Everyday
About 25 g. Thick enough to keep its round under daily knocks.
8 mm × 2 mm
Broad
About 53 g — a bangle that reads as a statement on its own.
10 mm × 2.5 mm
Kada
About 84 g. One size up (2.6) adds about 5%; the same piece in 18K weighs about 13% less.

Larger hands.
66.7 mm
2.10
Larger still; a 2.12 is 69.9 mm.
Gold bangles for daily wear
For every day, choose gold bangles that are plain or lightly worked, with a slightly thicker band: they keep their round when knocked against a desk or a sink. Keep meenakari and kundan bangles for occasions, where their colour is seen and spared the knocks.
Bangles come in pairs and sets of four, six and more, and a set is drawn so every bangle matches — so order the whole set at once. See our Meena Stack Bangles.
How do I measure my hand for a bangle?
Bring the thumb in towards the little finger, as if putting a bangle on, and measure round the widest part of the hand. Divide by 3.14 to get the diameter, then take the bangle size whose millimetres are just above it; between two sizes, take the larger.
Is 22K gold good for daily-wear bangles?
22K is soft, so a thin 22K bangle worn every day can bend out of round. A thicker band, or 18K, keeps its shape better under daily knocks. Either way, look for the BIS hallmark.
How many bangles make a set?
There is no fixed number — pairs, fours and sixes are common, and a bridal stack runs much longer. We make the set in one design, so the count is yours to choose.
Can I wear gold bangles with glass or lac bangles?
Yes. Put the gold at the two ends of the stack, outside the glass or lac, where it protects the softer bangles between.
What size bangle does a child need?
Usually smaller than a 2.2. Measure the hand the same way, thumb tucked in, and we make the bangle to it — gold or silver bangles are the usual choice for toddlers.
